The idea of assessing Australis's 12 most influential people in the information and communications meant looking beyond just the profile of their organisation and to look at the impact that their work is having on both the ICT industry and Australia in general. In many cases their nomination is significantly attributable to the people working for and with them, but being able to harness this energy is in itself another demonstrator of a person's ability to wield influence.
Hence there were a lot of candidates from big-name organisations that have missed out this year. Similarly there are many, many people in the ICT industry who have been working tirelessly for the betterment of the industry but whose efforts have not yet extended far enough to make the list.
Anyway, if you want to check out who we came up with, the complete list can be founding at SmartCompany by clicking here.

Nice choices Brad - makes me a bit sad that it's so bloke heavy still but I guess that reflects the industry!

Thanks for the lists. There are a lot of these lists on different peoples blogs these days, most of they are just way out of date though – I look forward to delving deeper into this list and hopefully contributing to some quality blogs.
