Last week I wrote a piece looking at what the mobile marketing and advertising options are for SMEs that want to embrace this new media type to spread their message. Now I'm keen to know what the latest developments in the segment are. I've been tracking technologies such as QR codes and augmented reality for a while -if anyone has seen some great examples of these recently, please let me know. Am likewise open to any suggestions of what is at the cutting edge today.

Well,QR codes have been first generation for a few years now. They have always been accessed via the many Nokia Office Suite Barcode buttons. A big worldwide market. Telstra introduced the technology about 5 years later in Australia. Some incredible examples from overseas and I'll send you some.

Brad,
i might be able to dig up some Telstra examples. In fact, I went to a Telstra-MCA event recently and the QR codes were imbedded into the name badges. You didn't have to collect business cards - just snap a photo and have the contact stored in your mobile.
