Story in development - Life in the cloud
I'm currently researching a new feature on cloud computing, and am looking for any examples out there of Australian companies making use of the various services that are out there. I'm not looking for developers of services, but actual users. The goal is to interview the IT managers to get a feel for how and why they are using the service, and the benefit that they're deriving. If you know of anyone worth speaking to, please let me know ASAP via email. I am signing this one off on Friday the 25th ...
Hey Brad, I found it interesting that you were ‘researching’ this, rather than simply using it? Being an avid author, blogger and having this established and well read worldwide BLOG, are you not using tag clouds anyway? You know,
obviously, how tags have always worked, categorising and easy listing and, normally, alphabetically? Personally, I think a lot of publishers will just call their standard tag listings, TAG CLOUDS now, just to jump on what they consider to be the new buzz! But, intuitively, I’ve always seen tags that are not alphabetical or have been changed to bold text, highlighted or just flying around, as meaning that this would be the most popular tag at that moment in use…I think any irregular shape or space that happens anywhere amongst a more regular listing just draws your attention more. But, I’m sure you will get a more deep and meaningful breakdown as an overall cloud computing phenomena. For goodness sake do not report on it in B&T, you will be asked to mark it out of 10 or call it a fad. I guess with the amount of BLOGS and sites with tag clouds, or BLOG Authors simply changing their TAG LIST title to TAG CLOUD, it is an interesting development, but I personally feel that anything that challenges traditional data texting and visualisation is a great thing. The use of space, abstract, colour, sound and that kind of thing should always be introduced to make digital interactions more dynamic.
