Inside Film - TV finds its groove

When folk in the television industry doubted Tina Lymberis' vision of creating a dance television program for the masses, she did what all passionate folk with a vision do - ignored them, and went out and made it herself. The result is üBERgroover.tv, a website and video series dedicated to dance in all forms. Check out the website, or you can look at the draft version of the story that ran in this month's Inside Film magazine by clicking here: Download ubergroover_draft.rtf

Hearty congratulations to Tina Lymberis. I saw the original presentation when I was asked to be a guest judge at the AFTRS LAMP Sessions and said at the time it displayed killer app energy and amazing TV. It had the energy then and Tina certainly had the creativity, energy and dynamics to just do it! Take heart though Tina, the major networks will come begging soon. Rove’s Carrie Bickmore said the other day, “The Nine Network has cancelled Sunday for poor ratings. It is now looking to cancel Monday through Friday for the same reason”. LOL. I think I also said about ur show at the time, that it could be sooo much more online and mobile. Ur timing is perfect for a brilliant Web 2.0-3.0 show. So here’s wishing you become the next Facebook of dance shows. Congratulations. Congratulations. This is brilliant news. Please give me a strategy gig when you make your millions!
