Making something of open source

Last year I came across an interesting project up in Queensland that was aiming to take an existing open source e-commerce project and turn it into a business-grade application for reservation-based services. Since then I've had the change to dig into the story a little further, the results of which have just been published at BuilderAU.

I hope to be doing more writing for these guys this year, and am currently neck deep into a series of features on mobile applications development - that one should be coming along shortly.
